Transport Secretary Grant Shapps has blamed union bosses for the ongoing transport strikes, claiming that they are refusing to put proposed settlement deals to their members.
He says the UK rail network is "stuck with contracts which simply don't reflect the reality today" and accused unions of "messing up our railway and messing with people's lives".
