GetSportsFocus.com - Pink is the color of universal love, which is perfect to represent the unity behind breast cancer awareness. The month of October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month; however, pink has taken the center stage for many different aspects of life in other months as well. In more recent years, athletes wear the color pink during games to show their support as well. On and off the field, breast cancer awareness is at an all-time high, and to prove that -- athletes have made it a point to wear pink.
This week we talked to a variety of athletes to find out why they wear pink. We also had a chance to sit down with the executive director of HERS Breast Cancer Foundation to find out more about their foundation, and how we can help as a local community.
