The attorneys for former LMPD officer Brett Hankison went before a judge Wednesday to ask that media be banned from the courtroom during the jury selection for Hankison's felony trial, which is set to begin in the coming weeks.
Thursday, Judge Ann Bailey Smith denied the motion, according to court documents. Reporters and the general public are allowed, however cameras, "whether they be still or video" are not allowed in the courtroom while jurors are examined.
