American science fiction action movie RoboCop was released in 1987 and was directed by Paul Verhoeven. Its screenplay was written by Edward Neumeier and Michael Miner. Miguel Ferrer, Kurtwood Smith, Nancy Allen, Daniel O'Herlihy, Ronny Cox, and Peter Weller are among the cast members of the movie. The film RoboCop, which is set in a future Detroit plagued by crime, revolves on police officer Alex Murphy (Weller), who is killed by a gang of criminals and then reborn as the cyborg RoboCop by the megacorporation Omni Consumer Products. RoboCop conducts a merciless anti-crime crusade while becoming cognizant of the last bits of his humanity while being unaware of his old life.
