Walsh Construction, Ascension Health and Local 1 Ironworkers have topped out the expansion of the Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. The final steel beam was signed, lifted and placed atop the new two story vertical expansion & two story surgery addition that will house 36 new beds, four new operating rooms and fully renovated recovery space. The project adds more than 100,000 square feet to the medical center, along with additional renovations and modernizations to existing spaces as well as shelled space allowing for future growth.
