Generally, you can play everything for free, but those people who want a bit more of an intense experience or who want to make the game a bit faster, can spend a small amount of money for this. But there are always enough people (who are paying), because with a free game, you gets more and more additional people than you would get with a game that costs money. And so, you have a big pool of people, who will potentially buy your products."
