The Moscow Mule is a popular IBA cocktail served in that notable copper mug and made with a mix of ginger beer, lime juice, and distilled vodka, complete with that lime wedge garnish on the rim of the mug. You would probably assume from both its name and its base liquor that it was originally made in Russia. While the cocktail does have Russian roots, it’s actually an American cocktail. Did you know that the rise of the Moscow Mule saved Smirnoff vodka when the then-small business was on its very last legs? If not, this is the video for you!
