Noticing that our amaryllis flower had a huge amount of pollen, I collected together some of it to look at under a microscope. I blended in some water in the pollen and looked at it under a phase contrast microscope at 1000x magnification.
Hippeastrum -Often sold under the name Amaryllis, is a beautiful big flower native to tropical and subtropical regions of the Americas and Caribbean.
