Paan Churi / paan Mukhwas/ Homemade mouth freshner/ Paan masala refreshment
Paan Mukhwas is tasty and easy to make. A wonderful after meal mouth fresherner also aids in digestion. It appears that paan ka patta actually contains many curative and healing benefits. The leaves are rich in vitamins like vitamin C, thiamine, niacin, riboflavin and carotene and are a great source of calcium.The flavours and texture of all the ingredients complement each other resulting in a satisfying mouth freshner.
Ingredients
50 gm fennel seeds (saunf)
50 gm Dhania dal
15 pan leaves (betel leaves)
2 tbsp gulkand
1 tsp chamanbahar
1/2 inch Asmantara
Pinch of chunna
Method
1. Wash & Cut pan leaves in very tiny pieces. Let it dry under fan.
2. Dry roast saunf & dhanya dal.
3. Add all ingredients ( saunf, Dhaniyadal, Asmantara, chamanbahar, chunna)in a mixer pot. Grind all properly in desired consistency.
Add gulkand to it & grind.
Now by adding little portion of leaves grind & repeat till all leaves are grounded.
4. Add goonjpal & cherry(tootifrooti) or colourful fennel seed to it. Mix properly.
5. Mukhwas is ready. Serve chilled after lunch or dinner as mouth freshener.
6. Store in an airtight container.
