The Shuswap River has three sections and originates in the Monashee Mountains and flows from the remote Greenbush Lake and into picturesque Sugar Lake in Cherryville. The river’s second section flows from Sugar Lake into another gorgeous gem of the Okanagan known as Mabel Lake. The last leg of the Shuswap’s journey is through the Enderby area where the river goes from Mabel Lake and finally into Mara Lake, which also drains into the much larger Shuswap Lake via the Sicamous Narrows channel.
