The Fostech Echo Sport is a semi automatic trigger. Specifically its a binary or echo trigger, meaning its fires one round when you pull the trigger and one round when you release the trigger.
A semi automatic trigger according to US Federal Law is a weapon that fire one round with one function of the trigger. The binary/echo trigger uses both the forward and rearward position to fire 1 round each. When your weapons system has a lot of recoil its very easy to bumpfire this trigger allowing you to approach the rate of fire of a Fully automatic weapon. Many regular semi auto triggers with light resets and light pull weights are also easy to bumpfire.
