It's always exciting for us to find new crops that can handle shady conditions, as Edible Acres is mainly a shaded environment. The area in this video can be wet at times, and most certainly experiences very strong deer pressure and other wild life including turkeys, rabbits, mice and voles. It's a pretty minimally managed space, and yet we're able to get a whole lot of amazing, beautiful food/medicine from it. Thanks Black Currants!
The varieties in this video were Ben Serek and Crusader, but all varieties of Black currant have made nice crops for us in shaded conditions...
