Even though Jesus was innocent, the crowds wanted Him killed. So, Jesus was nailed to a cross. As He was dying, Jesus asked that His enemies be forgiven. By dying on the cross for our sins, Jesus completed what He had come to do. Then, Jesus’ body was laid in a tomb.
