All cancer patients are at higher risk from covid -19 and thus the patient should get vaccinated as soon as possible. A cancer patient may be undergoing surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy. For surgery, the patient should take the vaccine 2 weeks prior to the surgery and post-surgery the vaccine should be done after 4 weeks. For radiotherapy, patients can get vaccines at the earliest and for chemotherapy, patients can get vaccines anytime but are advised to keep a gap of 3 days.
