STORYLINE:
US Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton met with Haiti's prime minister in Washington on Wednesday.
In brief remarks to reporters, Clinton said Prime Minister Garry Conille and other Haitian leaders are working very hard to "give Haitians the future that they deserve."
Conille thanked Clinton for the US government's support in Haiti, not just since the devastating January 2010 earthquake, but "for many, many years."
Earlier in the day, Conille - who was appointed prime minister in October 2011 - spoke with reporters at the National Press Club.
