An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.4 struck off the coast of Japan's southern island of Kyushu early Saturday, January 22, damaging roads and buildings, according to local media. The quake struck at about 1:08 am local time and strong jolts were felt in Oita, Miyazaki, Kumamoto and Kochi prefectures.
