A demonstration of how to play the campana (hand bell) and the contra-campana (timbale bell) together.
This combination really fills out the sound in an Afro-Cuban setting.
The right hand plays three quarter notes, two eighth notes in the first bar, and a quarter, two eighths, a quarter and two eighths. Be sure to play the 1 and 3 on the mouth of the bell.
The left hand rests on beat one and plays beat two, “and four and,” “and two and” and “and four and.” The accents are on beat two and the and of four of the first bar and the and of two and the and of four.
