A lot of people want to add that contemporary, modern jazz sound to their playing, but don't know how. They know the scales needed, but just don't know how to phrase correctly and how outside playing works.
In this jazz guitar tutorial I'll be teaching you the tools needed to create modern jazz guitar licks. If you add a rock touch to it by distorting the guitar tone a little you have those georgious minor fusion licks a lot of your heroes play.

You will learn the concepts of chromaticism, superimpositions and outside playing. Fusion licks use a lot of outside playing. We can play anything we want, as long as we resolve back to the oroginal key.

This video is the first of a series on fusion guitar licks. This one uses minor fusion licks for guitar. I'll do more tutorials on other chords too.

For our modern jazz guitar licks in minor we'll use the dorian scale, as well as the melodic minor scale. Then we'll learn how to weave all the afore mentioned concepts into the scale and voila, we have minor fusion lines for guitar respectively modern jazz guitar lines.

I've made tabs and minor fusion backing track, so you can start practicing right away - no more excuses ;-)
