What happens if someone finds hearing aids impossible to use?
There can be a few different reasons for this: anatomy, repeated infections, the discomfort of blocking ear canals, problems with distortion, whistling & feedback, cosmetic concerns & 'device hassle'.
Nowadays we have more options for this group of patients. One such device is the MED-EL VIBRANT Soundbridge implant which bypasses the ear canal and delivers sound directly to the ossicles behind the ear drum. It is suitable for people with different types of mild, moderate and severe hearing loss.
