This is a recorded stream from PyLadies Amsterdam "An introduction to geodata in Python" workshop on the 25th of October 2023.

In this workshop, you will learn the basics of geospatial data theory, covering raster, vector, and related concepts. You will also be introduced to Python libraries for geospatial data and gain hands-on experience working with satellite imagery through a Jupyter notebook exercise.

Amber Mulder and Margot Ridderikhoff

Amber Mulder and Margot Ridderikhoff are software engineers at Planet, the leading provider of global daily Earth data.

Amber Mulder has a background in Geomatics engineering and studied at TU Delft. At Planet she works on improving and maintaining the production of Planet’s Soil Water Content data.

Margot Ridderikhoff studied Geoscience and Remote Sensing at TU Delft and now works in the Biomass Proxy team of Planet, whose goal is to provide the best cloud-free vegetation monitoring product for agriculture and pasture management.
