This is a video walking tour of the old Shakespeare Festival theater in Cedar City, Utah. Technically, it is the Adams Memorial Theater, but it was home to the Shakespeare Festival for decades before the new Englelstad Shakespeare Theater replaced it. Both theaters are outdoor replicas of Shakespeare's Globe Theater in London and are located on the Southern Utah University campus. The Utah Shakespeare Festival was founded in 1961 and is one of the oldest and largest Shakespeare festivals in North America. Each annual season begins in June and ends in October. Each season typically attracts over 100,000 visitors with a budget of over $7 million. Cedar City is within a day's drive of seven national parks and numerous national and state forests, monuments, and recreation areas. I make it a point to attend the festival every year, as it is a quick 2.5 hour drive from my home in Las Vegas. Thanks for watching! Please Like, Share, and Subscribe! I appreciate you!
