Colombia's national airline, Avianca has filed for bankruptcy after failing to get government aid to pay a bond payment deadline.
It is one of Latin America's largest airlines and would be latest international one to go belly up if it fails to come out of bankruptcy.
Many of the countries Avianca flies to in the region have imposed total or partial lockdowns.
