How to Fix DVD Drive Not Detected or Working In Windows 10?

👉 Solution 1(01:06): Fix CD/DVD Drive Not Showing by PowerShell
- Right-click on the Start menu and select “Windows PowerShell (admin).”
- Copy & paste the following commands and hit the enter key:
reg.exe add "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\atapi\Controller0" /f /v EnumDevice1 /t REG_DWORD /d 0x00000001
- Reboot your computer.

👉 Solution 2 (01:41): Uninstall the IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers
- Press Windows Key + X to open Power User Menu.
- Select Device Manager, go to View and choose Show hidden devices
- Locate IDE ATA /ATAPI DRIVER, right-click to choose Uninstall from the menu.
- Reboot your computer.

👉 Solution 3 (02:14): Create new registry keys
- Press Windows Key + R to run command. Enter regedit and press enter
- Navigate to the following path:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\atapi
- Right-click on atapi and select New and Key
- Enter Controller0 and press Enter. Right-click and select New, then DWORD(32-bit) Value.
- Type EnumDevice1 and press Enter.
- Update the value to "1" in Value Data box and click OK.
Close Registry Editor. Reboot Your Computer. Done!
