This is a song from the demo album "Zondvloed" of the Dutch metal band Libethra. The album is about the complex relationship the Dutch have with the North sea which can be both giving and taking. "De Zee Trekt Zich Terug" is about how the loss of a loved one and the inability to fight off the forces of nature has left a young man to question his faith.
