The client's hearing aid was constantly whistling due to her ear wax, despite it not being fully occluding (e.g. blocked the ear). As the ear wax was quite soft and the client suffers from vertigo, a jobson horne was more appropriate to use than suction to remove the ear wax. This is because suction cools the temperature of the ear (where organ of balance is located) which can sometimes cause dizziness and faintness due to the 'caloric' effect
