Not only is Hot Buttered Bourbon delicious, but it's also easy to make. In just a few minutes, you can have a hot buttered whiskey on the table for your next winter party! Whether you're a beginner or a pro, this drink is sure to be a hit!

I love hot bourbon cocktails, and they're especially nice as winter cocktails with plenty of sweetness and spice. I'm using the 81 proof Wild Turkey Bourbon as it will deliver all the delicious bourbon-y notes, without any alcohol burn, but feel free to substitute whichever bourbon you prefer!

Some people recommend making a butter batter with butter, sugar and spices, but I prefer keeping it simple and mixing the ingredients separately, but I do make a brown sugar syrup to speed things up. So, if you want to make a hot buttered whiskey, or a hot buttered bourbon, follow this recipe for some simple success!

Hot Buttered Bourbon Recipe:

Half Teaspoon of butter
45ml Wild Turkey 81 Proof Bourbon
Pinch of baking spice mix *
10ml Brown Sugar Syrup **
Top off with freshly boiled water
Stir until the butter has dissolved

* Ground Cinnamon, Clove, Ginger, Nutmeg & Allspice
** 1.5 parts brown sugar, 1 part water
