Variants of the BMW iX1 (Jul 2022 – onwards) scored a 5 star ANCAP safety rating.

In order to confirm integrity of the battery and safety of the high voltage electrical systems of the iX1, additional frontal offset (MPDB), side impact, and oblique pole tests were conducted on the iX1.
