This is an exercise Linda Parelli calls "the snake" and John Lyons uses in his dvd "Controlling Your Horse's Speed." The rider is 11 years old and has ridden about 35 times. The pony is a 15 year old Welsh/TB cross. It is their first day in the big outdoor arena with spooky jumps :) The rider does a great job figuring out how to keep her balance while making sharp turns. This helps a rider find their balance fast and is a fun exercise for long, quick horses.
