This Pacific Northwest Hike hike is located on Mountain Loop Highway and is accessible year round, but the parking lot is not plowed in the winter and the trail crosses several avalanche areas that can be dangerous in the winter. The spring and winter versions of this hike are shorter than the summer one because you can't go around the lake, limiting it just over 5 miles.
Road/Parking: Paved all the way, with a decent size parking lot with bathrooms, and an overflow lot across the road. This trail get extremely busy, especially in the summer, so you may want to consider going early or on a weekday if you can.
