The history, culture and architecture of Petra, Jordan has made it one of the world's most coveted of the 7 Wonders of the Modern World. When the chance came to visit this wondrous place, I made the most of it. First choice I made was to make the trek up to the Monastery (Ad Deir), which led me to "Lost", a charming local Bedouin guide who showed me (on horse!) the backlands of Petra, the Treasury (Al-Khazneh) from above (even Indiana Jones didn't do this!), and introduced me to his friend, Ibrahim, who took me to the Monastery (on donkey!). This is what a Filipina. American. Creative. looks like on a secret adventure in Petra, Jordan!
