My favorite watercolor tool is a paper towel. I always have one in my left hand when I'm painting to catch drips or to lift some paint. It's also a great tool to use to lift clouds or for waves. It's the one tool I feel I can't paint without. My favorite brand of paper towel to use is Viva as the towels are soft and absorbent and do not have any patterns on them that could end up on your watercolor painting.
