STORYLINE
LINE UP ANNOUNCED FOR PLAYBOY JAZZ FESTIVAL
Music legend Quincy Jones joined "Playboy" founder Hugh Hefner to announce the line of acts at the 31st annual Playboy Jazz Festival.
Cuban pianist Alfredo Rodriguez, the Wayne Shorter Quartet, Kenny G, Patti Austin, King Sunny Ade and The Neville Brothers are among artists set to perform at the festival, scheduled for 13-14 June at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.
"It's just the most prestigious jazz festival that you hope you get invited to, and, if you do, it's just really special," said Kenny G, "to be in the company of Quincy Jones. And Patti Austin is playing. And there's Wayne Shorter. Just these great legends. and to be invited to be part of the thing, it's very special."

The 2009 festivities mark the 31st consecutive year that the Playboy Jazz Festival will present an entire weekend of jazz at the renowned Hollywood Bowl, including pre-festival community events offered free to the general public throughout the greater Los Angeles area.
