Time for the five men who have gone missing during an expedition to the Titanic wreckage in the North Atlantic ocean is running out.

The US coast guard says it has expanded the area being searched for the missing Titan submersible.

Within the last hour, rescue workers said there remains hope the five people onboard are still alive - although couldn't provide any more information on banging noises which had raised hopes this morning.
