145 Sharks - Living and Extinct Prehistoric - Animated Size Comparison
A variety of interesting sharks, from the saw toothed edestus and buzz saw Helicoprion to the massive Megalodon and the great white shark lineage and the living great white shark, the giant whale shark, requiem sharks, hammerhead sharks, and strange looking frill and goblin sharks. Many of these prehistoric sharks were whale sized, fierce mega tooth marine predators with massive jaws and teeth from an ancient shark lineage that has existed for 400 million years. Conceptual reconstructions based on fossil remains and shark teeth that elude to prey hunted and required body type through comparative study with living relatives.
Many of these shark species are endangered from pollution and over fishing, education and conversation efforts are important as they provide an essential place in our ecosystem.
