Some of my favorite games to play are all about logic, deduction, reasoning, and the general critical thinking process. Hidden movement mechanics involve a lot of this - good vs. bad, one vs. all, that sort of thing. Keeping to the shadows while getting tracked down is surprisingly fun!
Hidden movement is all about having one, or a small few, players who are "off the grid", sometimes literally. They're playing, but playing their own side of the game where they're moving around and taking actions in secret compared to the rest of the players. Most often these will come down to a "cat and mouse" style of play - cops chasing robbers, that sort of thing. Sometimes simple, sometimes complex, but always fun, in my opinion.
As always, let me know what you all think! What're your favorite hidden movement games, and why? What do you think about the mechanic and feel in general? You know I always appreciate hearing anything and everything, so please share!
