Felix Loch, the German luger and Olympic champion, clinched the gold medal in the men's Singles event at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. He continued his success at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, securing another gold in men's Singles and contributing to Germany's gold in the inaugural team relay.
