I couldn't wait to maiden the Timber, but I had to wait until the fog cleared enough. I kept flying the Apprentice around in circles until that happened. Any flying is good flying. The Timber flew great. I still have to figure out the flap settings because even with the CG dead on it would just climb when I enabled the flaps, even when really slow and no power. So I haven't mastered the STOL part yet. But for a standard high wing, I loved it. I was doing a little high alpha and the wings only dipped a little. She was steady as a rock. After I did this video I thought I was done, but some friends showed up and asked for a demo. I did some loops and lazy rolls easily. Flying inverted was a breeze. I hovered it once for about 10 seconds and after that did a long vertical climb that ended in a waterfall. The front of the plane at the end of the waterfall just snapped towards the ground. So, while not a 3D plane, the Timber does have some great power to it. That means next time it is winds out, I won't hesitate to take the Timber out. Thanks, everyone for keeping my channel going.
