Today on Workshop Quick Takes (wqt): Springs are essential to keeping your vehicle upright and stable, but they do wear out. After 200k+ miles, we were unhappy with the sag on our 2000 Jeep Cherokee (XJ), and decided to restore all four corners. The catch: nothing exotic allowed! We wanted the maximum ride height possible without paying for additional driveline, steering, or suspension upgrades.
Join us as we show you how to do a full OE restoration of your 4WD ride's suspension while gaining some usable ground clearance, all for well under $1000 in parts and materials. Bonus footage: we just barely avoided a catastrophe while using a jack to transfer load on the front end, and you can avoid replicating our mistake.
Follow-up -- we swap the front bump stops: [ Ссылка ]
