A Carnival cut-down of PAY DAY (1922), presumably taken from a dupe (of a dupe of a dupe, etc.) of an original print. The sole intertitle is worded differently from the version held by the Chaplin estate. You'll also notice some decomposition of the source print. At the time this was released, it was illegal to sell, as the copyright was under Chaplin's control. The film passed into the public domain several years ago.
