Check out this restored replica of the original Wyffels Hybrids delivery truck!
Beginning in 1946, farmers picked up their registered seed oats at the Wyffels farm with their own wagons or trucks. In 1953, Wyffels began producing and selling hybrid seed corn and delivery was part of the conditions of the sale.
From 1955 to 1964, the Wyffels family delivered seed orders to customers in their nine-passenger station wagon. However, with a growing customer base and seed corn sales, a truck for seed delivery and farm needs was finally purchased.
On April 14, 1965, Wyffels Hybrids founder William Wyffels, Sr., took delivery of his first truck, a holly green and white Ford F-250, for $2,683.94.

This truck helps tell the story of persistence. It is a story of a family business that did not give up when 250 other brands did. It is a part of a larger group of people, employees, seed representatives and corn growers who believe that better can come from anywhere. Even a family-owned seed business started from small and humble beginnings.
Truck Renovation:
The #Wyffels family attempted to find the original truck with the original bill of sale and serial number. After an intense effort, the family stopped searching and decided to renovate this similar 1965 model to help tell their story.
