Released in 1978 on the Town and Country label (although later re-issued on Joe Gibbs' own label), this jaunty tune has "Maxie" Romeo being fed up with people attacking him because of his dreads and religion and status. He just wants to be free. Produced by the "Mighty Two", Errol T and Joe Gibbs it is typical of that bright, brassy sound of that studio. The version is called "Lay Off".
