This video shows the approach and landing at King George Island in Antarctica at the end of a flight from Punta Arenas, Chile, in my single engine plane, a 2001 Lancair Columbia 300, N788W. It starts with a descent through icy clouds on an instrument approach for runway 11. The video ends with some Chilean Air Force guys taking photos after I've landed - arrival of a little plane like this is a rare event in Antarctica! The video was made with a GoPro Hero 2 camera suction-cupped to the inside of my windshield with the audio track coming from the airplane audio system so you can hear the radio calls and a few other comments I make. At one point I said I expected the runway to be rough but in fact it was in pretty good condition - no problems.
The flight shown in this video is described in my book "Flying 7 Continents Solo" published November 30, 2015. It's available from the usual on-line places.
