Meaning;
O, Goddess Aditi! You are the earth in depth, sky in breath and atmosphere in vastness. I place the fire, the consumer of food in your lap. The spotted bull (which represents the animal qualities) is ascending to heaven to join his mother and father. He can jump over thirty paces together.
The space between the worlds rebound with the sound of the bird at the day-break as the bull reaches the heaven. O Fire! If I have disturbed and scattered you out of my anger or misfortune, condescend to bear with me. We relight you again.
Aditya, Vasus and all angels gather to bring you who are scatter and, spread over the earth, together. Mind rejoices in the light of oblation. May the sacrifice find its fulfilment! May Brihaspati help its fruition! May all the angels and gods rejoice in it!
May mind and light rejoice in the oblation. May he bring together this scattered sacrifice. May Brihaspati extent it, May all the gods rejoice here. Om ShantiH ShantiH ShantiH.
