The transfer case on your Jeep JL Wrangler or JT Gladiator is what makes them a 4WD and just like everything else on your Jeep, it’s something that needs to be serviced on a regular basis. If you have a manual transmission, that should be about once 30,000 miles and if you have an automatic, that should be about once every 60,000 miles but with at least a check of it at every 30. Being that Cindy and I spend a lot of our time out on the trail, we just make it a habit of changing the fluid at every 30 and regardless if the Jeep we’re working on has a manual or automatic. Fortunately, this super easy to do and doing it yourself will save your a LOT of money.
