(16 Jan 2009) SHOTLIST
1. Wide of US Airways ticket counter
2. Close up of airport sign showing flight arriving from New York - LaGuardia airport
3. Plane crash survivor holding blanket and going over to hug relative
4. SOUNDBITE: (English) Plane crash survivor, no name given:
"It was very surreal, it happened pretty fast."
(Question: What was it like to get back on a plane?)
"It was still surreal, I think it would have been harder tomorrow to do it."
(Question: If you could say something to the pilot?)
"God was certainly looking after all of us and he certainly guided him in."
5. SOUNDBITE: (English) Brad Wentzell, plane crash survivor:
"We get elevated in the air, usually planes change direction when they're stabilised, all of a sudden, right at that moment, where usually the engines slow down, you are getting ready to turn direction towards your destination, we heard a big pop. And the pop was big and it smelled, and you can smell and there was a fire behind us."
6. SOUNDBITE: (English) Carl Bazarian, plane crash survivor:
"When it popped, we figured it was impossible that two engines blow and we figured this guy is turning going to LaGuardia and then we said, 'Oh, my God this guy is falling in the river' and all of a sudden we were at one-thousand feet, 500 feet, 250 feet, and we are falling in the river and he said, 'brace for impact'."
7. Bazarian and other plane crash survivor talking to media
8. SOUNDBITE: (English) Plane crash survivor, no name given:
"I got probably to about my knees in the water as it went down, it wasn't that so many people were on the wing, the plane just started to sink, but it sank very slow, and methodically, again you're talking about weird stuff, right. An aircraft with its weight and it floated for a long time, it was very slow and controlled in the way it submerged."
9. SOUNDBITE: (English) Plane crash survivor's son, no name given:
"Shocked. My brother told me after my basketball game that I had tonight and I didn't believe him and he's always pulling jokes saying 'Oh, our dad is in an accident, don't worry he's okay,' so I thought he was kidding, but then I heard the parents after my game talking about it, so then I said 'uh-oh, this is for real'."
10. Plane crash survivor with Red Cross blanket wrapped around him walking with two sons
11. SOUNDBITE: (English) Brad Wentzell, plane crash survivor:
"This pilot, and if this guy doesn't get the recognition he needs. ...it's the reason why my daughter, my two-and-a-half-year-old has a dad, and my wife still has a husband."

STORYLINE:
Passengers rescued from a jet which was ditched in the Hudson River in New York, spoke about their ordeal on Friday.
The US Airways Airbus A320 bound for Charlotte, N.C., struck a flock of birds just after takeoff from LaGuardia Airport on Thursday, apparently disabling the engines.
All 155 on board were pulled to safety as the plane slowly sank.
One victim suffered two broken legs, a paramedic said, but there were no other reports of serious injuries.
Nine of the 150 passengers flew to Charlotte, North Carolina, late on Thursday night.
One passenger said that it was "surreal" to get back on an aeroplane though he added that "it would have been harder tomorrow to do it."
Passenger Brad Wentzell said that he heard "a big pop" just before the plane went down.
"The pop was big and it smelled, and you can smell and there was a fire behind us," Wentzell said.
He added that the role of the pilot in bringing the aeroplane down safely deserved to be "recognised".
