Kenya's Kibiwott Kandie set a new men's half-marathon world record time of 57 minutes, 32 seconds in Valencia, Spain on Sunday.
Kandie knocked 29 seconds off the previous record mark, which was set by Kenya's Geoffrey Kamworor in Copenhagen, Denmark in 2019.
The top four in Valencia all came in under Kamworor's time of 58 minute and one second.
Uganda's Jacob Kiplimo finished second in 57 minutes and 37 seconds, while Kenyan pair Rhonex Kipruto and Alexander Mutiso finished in third and fourth respectively, 17 and 27 seconds off Kandie's pace.
As well as setting a new world record, Kandie also shaved one minute and five seconds off his previous personal best.
