Homemade Vegan Pasta Dough
Prep Time: 40 Minutes
Yield: 450g
2 Cups (200g) Semolina Flour
1 tbsp (5g) Salt
1 Cup (250ml) Water
Pour the semolina flour in a pile on a clean work surface. Add the salt and combine. Create a well in the flour and add 1/3 cup of water. Slowly mix the flour and the water together, adding more water as needed. Once the flour starts to form into a dough, begin kneading. (If the dough feels too dry, you can wet your hands and and continue to knead the dough. This is a good way to add moisture to the dough without the risk of adding too much water.) Knead for 10-15 minutes, then wrap and let sit at room temperature for 30 minutes.
Now you can roll out the dough using a rolling pin, stand mixer with a pasta attachment, pasta roller, etc. To cook, place your rolled and cut pasta into a large pot of salted boiling water. Remove after 30 seconds.
