Sant'Anna Metterza was created by Masolino and Masaccio. The name of the picture comes from the position of Anna placed behind her daughter Maria and behind, Jesus in third position. Hence the denomination of mettza. The Virgin and Child has been attributed to Masaccio for their very real bodily presence. As well as the Angel on the right dressed in green. This painting is a hinge between the late Gothic taste and the new revolutionary manner of Masaccio. Sant'Anna Metterza 1424 - 1425 Masaccio and Masolino.
