What is the best diet plan to follow in pregnancy to prevent anemia of pregnancy? First thing is you have to take a proper balance diet. See everything in adequate quantities if you take there will be no deficiencies, if anything and that cases anemia will not happen. So in pregnant ladies when anemia is happening you have to take a diet in which you have to try to combat the problem that is happening in anemia. I have told you earlier itself anemia is nothing but deficiency of hemoglobin. Hemoglobin has a protein part and iron part. So these two things are needed for the prevention of anemia. Protein in that you have to take so that the protein part of the hemoglobin is produced and the other part is the iron. Iron part is the are some foods that are known to be good storehouses of iron. So those things you have to take extra so that iron deficiency does not happen and hence anemia does not happen. So there are two categories of people some people are vegetarians some people are non-vegetarians. So vegetarians can easily get a good quality protein in their diet. Nonvegetarian food that is red meat is a very good non-vegetarian source of protein for a pregnant lady to produce her hemoglobin and other than protein we have got what is called as heme that is the iron part also so iron also you have to take advocately. So we have to take food that is containing plenty of iron. The commonest things that is containing iron is first thing is green leafy vegetables that is commonly available for every common man also. So plenty of green leafy vegetables you have to eat and other than that there are some food things that has more iron that is one thing is raw banana. Raw banana has got iron and apple also has got iron nuts has gotten so there are so many food particles most important thing is that green leafy vegetables. So if you take enough quantity of green leafy vegetables and if you take fresh fruits in plenty then you will compensate for all those deficiencies and then you will be able to get over anemia in that way. So we can prevent anemia in this pregnant ladies.
