I’m going to use these Simpson stringer connectors for the stairs in this warehouse.

First, I measure down and mark the height of where I want the stringers to land.

Then I mark off their spacing from left to right.

Next, I install the connectors using joist hanger nails.

I screw a pressure treated 2x4 to the concrete at the bottom of the stringers- this helps to hold them in place and makes the install easier.

I staple sill seal to the bottom of the stringer where it contacts the concrete.

Once the stringers in place at the bottom, I fasten it to the connector at the top.

The connectors are adjustable- you just bend up the bottom and add one fastener.

I like using these connector screws for a job like this- it goes so much faster.

The bottom is secured with deck screws.

I repeat the same process for the next three stringers.

They ended up being about 13” on center- which will be super strong.

Finally, I cut some braces the same width as the stairs- 42” wide.

These temporary braces help to get all the bows out of the stringers and hold everything in place until I get the risers and treads go on.
Everything turned out straight and level and all lines up.
